Were they callin' for rain?????

This was my Memorial Day Project.
BEFORE
AFTER
But sadly, I was interrupted by a monsoon! So I spent some time putzing around Pioneer Woman cooks. This is the result:
The recipes are cheese and olive bread, Marlboro Man's 2ND favorite sandwich (the chicken, we didn't eat it on a bun) and bacon wrapped, stuffed jalapeno thingys. We will be scheduling our EKG's first thing in the morning! ~Happy Memorial Day!~

And the awards go to.......

The Zehr kids! Elijah and Macklin had awards day school this week. Elijah received awards for Outstanding Achievement in Social Studies, Top 5 in multiplication and division and Outstanding Achievement in the Science bowl. He also received a plaque for being on the Principal's List (straight A's) the entire year! Macklin received awards in 1st Grade Spelling, 1st Grade Reading (the speediest) and Hand Writing Mechanics (the irony overwhelms me.....I thought she was taking after me on this one, clearly she has overcome her genetic predisposition for terrible handwriting!). She also received an Outstanding Achievement award for being on the Honor Roll all year! After Macklin's award ceremony we went to her class room for a presentation of the play Alphabet Zoo. Macklin's role was Elmer the Elephant, the narrator. She gets her acting genes from her Aunt Amanda who also served as the narrator in her first grade play :0)~ I really could go on and on about their teachers. They have been such a blessing to our family and truly work to make a difference in the lives of children. Now.....let SUMMER BREAK begin!

SHHH.......Don't Tell!

I just had to show everyone the paint cans I made for EBZ, AMZ and ASZ's teachers. They each got to choose which one they wanted for their teacher. Sophie has 4 teachers and Ms. Jamie (her tumbling teacher), so she had the most choices. Now we just have to buy something to fill them up! Many thanks to Jana for the idea and lesson. Maybe one day she could start a craft blog..........:0)!

~Have a great day!~

Way to go Sophie!

Sophie has been taking a tumbling class this year at school! She has loved it and her teacher Ms. Jamie is the best! Monday the class received medals for all of their hard work! She was very excited to show her siblings and her Daddy when they got home. She told them "It has a chicken on it!" Apparently, the gymnast on the medal looks like a chicken to her. So she is wearing her "chicken medal" proudly and looks forward to tumbling class next school year.

Never, EVER do this!

If you are half-dead with some kind of sinus junk and you need to go grocery shopping, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take all three of your children (who were fairly well behaved) to Kroger on a Saturday afternoon. Furthermore, DO NOT allow the smallest child to ride in the cool race car and the other two to push their own kid sized grocery carts. You will spend more time apologizing to all of the other shoppers around you than choosing your own groceries and your Achilles tendons will never be the same! Don't say I didn't warn you :0)!

P.S. It is also not a good idea to let your 3 year old choose a new umbrella with her birthday money from Gramma when you are shopping with all three children at Wal-Mart! I'm just sayin'.........
